Been away for sometime

Well folks I have been away for sometime, with no blog posts. Do not get the wrong idea it’s not that nothing has been happening, cause it has. So now it’s sort of catch up time.

I will warn you too that we are getting a new puppy so he might be featuring too as well as the crafts.

Back in Business

I am sorry to say I have been an awful slacker of late, for nearly a year in fact. It is simply not good enough. I have been sadly seduced by the allure of speedy instant gratification types of social media like instagram but I now returning to my blog in hopes that anyone who followed me is still out there. Id hate anyone to think I've been totally lazy though, because no folks I've been busy with all my crafts, scrapbooking, gardening, cooking, sewing, photography even tried a bit of pottery.

Here are just a few pictures so you can see some of the stuff I've done.

Italy

Just back from two weeks in Northern Italy around Lake Garda. We had a great time and have some fab photos which will no doubt feature in future scrap book pages. Here though is a sneak peak a few of the shots , as Im a bit behind in my scrapping at present and it might be sometime before I get to do Summer 2017. Hahahaha.

Fabric Painting

This week I had a try at some fabric painting. I did some stenciling on a linen shopping bag. I really loved the poppies and thought the stenciling worked really well. I think this is something I'd like to try again but perhaps have a few more colours of pigments/paints to use. Once the items was stenciled it was simply a matter of ironing the items to ensure the print was permanent.

Valentine Wreath

As my machine had to go in for its service and I could not complete any sewing I decided to embark upon a project I had considered a while ago, making a wreath for Valentines day.
So starting with the following items, one woven willow wreath , a multitude of ribbons and some ceramic painted hearts I began to create my wreath.

Ribbons all tied

I am quite pleased with the end result and it kind of brightens up the front door which was looking a bit dull after Christmas.
