Yesterday I took part and completed my Race for Life challenge. I know it was only 5K (not a London Marathon or anything like) so no biggie for most people but for me it was a big deal and I did actually run/jog the majority of the way. I also managed to raise £157.60 for Cancer Research UK so not a bad days work for a wet Sunday morning.
As the title suggests there will be a lot of craft items but really anything that interests me.

Bluebells
This weekend my hubby and I took a different route on our daily 3 mile walk and were very well rewarded by nature in all its glory. The bluebells looked terrific and smelt pretty good too, well so my hubby tells me. sadly after and accident when I was young I no longer have a sense of smell, great when changing dirty nappies etc but I love to smell the flowers sometime.

Fancy that
I was at the Sewing and knitting show at Olympia a few weeks back and I bought amoungst many bits and pieces a collection of silk flowers and a hair band. I thought, well, its cheap and my daughter might like it as flowery hair stuff seems to be quite fashionable at present.
I brought it home and put it aside to look at and make up later. Well this weekend I was looking through my bits and came across it and thought why not make it up for Easter. So here it is I think it looks very pretty perhaps a bit more Summery than Spring like but a nice gift nonetheless.

Well another event to celebrate and more bunting to make. Easter this time, and I've made bunting for myself and my daughter. Here is my daughters bunting first. I think its really sweet and very cheery and spring like.

Another Wreath
After making an Easter wreath for myself I then made one for my daughter this time using some knitted flowers.
I started with a woven pre-formed wreath.
I then knitted some cherry blossom using Susie John's 20 makes Knitted Flowers book.
Then added the beaded stalks to create centres for each of the blossoms.
I added some silk leaves to the wreath weaving them through the branches of the wreath. Once the leaves were added I then added the blossoms using the beaded wires to attach the flowers to the wreath.
Finally added the bow to complete the wreath.
