What No Carrots?

I thought I'd share with you my first scrapbook page of 2012. Well the photo is from 2011 but have only just got around to making the page up. My husband an I went to the RHS gardens at Wisley, for the Autumn Apple Festival in October and had a great day. The gardens are great at the best of times, but add to this the chance to sample a multitude of different foods such as apples ,cheese, sausages, breads, chutneys, oils etc and you have a day made to be enjoyed.

To create this page I used Papermania Kraft Basics 12 x12 card stock. I really like this card as I feel it gives an old school room vintage style to pages and can be used to create many different page effects.

I thought this pictured nicely summed up the day.
To the basic card background I then added from my paper stash a series of roughtly torn circles in ever decreasing sizes. Each circle I diistressed around the edges with Tim Holtz 'Vintage Photo' distress inks

I placed these circles in the centre of the page

I then mounted the photo on some old gold paper leaving about a 5-7mm border. The photo was then placed at the bottom right hand of the page.

I then embelished the page with a fern leaf which I think is from a K & Co border pack.Together with some glitter leaves from the kiddies craft section in Hobby craft.

I also added a journalling card just to give a little information on the day and to finish off the page added the title.

Apologies for the photo which  I am afraid has rather a lot of glare, but reassured I am working on getting better shots in future
